WHO SHOULD ATTEND THE COURSE?

Professional editors required to compile sequences within technical specifications for broadcast, web and DVD output. Editors are familiarized with terminology and editing techniques  commonly used to create documentaries, drama, actuality and news programmes within allocated deadlines.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN?

The course combines lessons included in Avid Media Composer 101 Essential Skills Training and Avid 110 Effects Training. This represents a cost saving of 20% when compared with attendance at both courses. The class progresses through all the phases of creating a sequence on Avid platforms including inputting footage, assembling and trimming sequences, editing audio, applying effects and motion animation, creating titles and outputting a finished programme for various delivery platforms.

Manuals including all lessons and media are provided at no cost for the duration of training and can be purchased for reference and revision purposes for R650 before or during training.

PREREQUISITE REQUIREMENTS

Avid Media Composer is available on Mac and Windows OS. Efficiency with the platform of choice is recommended for best results.
